For client's safety as well as yours, you should make sure that the table you are going to buy is made of durable materials that should support even the heavier clients.

  • Along with the table you need to buy massage table covers that you can spread over the tabletop so that the client will not come in direct contact with the surface of the table, which can be quite uncomfortable. In buying table covers, be sure to buy a material that is hypoallergenic since you will never know if the client has skin allergies, and can withstand frequent washings since you will have to wash them after each use.

  • Linens and towels are also a must for massage therapist. There are massage sessions that will require the client to take off their clothes in which case you will need the linen to cover the body parts that does not need to be exposed. Towels on the other hand are used after the massage session to wipe off excess oils or lotion from the body.

  • For both massage equipment, it is important that the material is made of durable cloth but at the same time it should be smooth to the touch. As a reminder, you will have to buy several of these equipments since you will have to use one per client.
