History of Hoshino Massage Therapy

Hoshino therapy is a form of therapeutic massage that focuses on treating arthrosis in patients. Arthrosis is the condition of having tight or hardened muscle, tendons and ligaments that keeps on resulting to various body pains both in the muscle and bones. Basically it is used as a treatment for musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction but it can also be enjoyed as a form of relaxation.

Tomezo Hoshino was the one responsible for the development and improvement of this technique. He was then an acupuncturist practicing and conducting acupuncture sessions in Japan. However, he was frustrated with his knowledge and skill in giving his own body a long lasting relief from his condition. Hoshino was at that time suffering from bursitis in his shoulder and was always disappointed every time the pain comes back over and over again even with the treatment he uses. The frustration led to the discovery of this amazing technique which specializes in addressing problems both in the muscle and bones of the human body. He vowed to himself that he will never give up or surrender his desire to recover from his condition. Hoshino was firm in his vow that he decided to stay at the top of a mountain until he finds methods or techniques that can treat the bursitis. He used hand techniques and began working on his body using various massage strokes and techniques. Eventually, he found out a method that works perfectly in relieving musculoskeletal pain.

He then started introducing the therapy to the public and began sharing his experience, the benefits and effects of his newly found massage therapy. Later on he also taught many massage therapists who were interested with his style and healing technique. Hoshino therapy soon afterwards became a popular oriental massage therapy that is known as a preventive therapy rather than therapeutic.

Hoshino's philosophy in his natural healing therapy is that we only need our hands and no other tools in order to enhance and maintain good health. Proper application of pressure as well as the use of warmth is all that a massage therapist needs in order to counter any arthrosis condition as well as dysfunction on the muscle tissues. He also points out that early detection and correct evaluation of the body by using the hands as sensors are vital in providing a successful and effective Hoshino massage therapy. His belief and healing philosophy are well accepted by the public due to the effectiveness of his technique.

Hoshino therapy is good in giving relief from chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain that can be frustrating and excruciating if not treated. The therapy also increases the flexibility and mobility of the joints, limbs and other moving parts of the body. Sessions of this healing technique enhances the posture of the patient which in return boosts his or her self confidence. Proper massaging and application of pressure on the 250 vital pressure points of the body improves the circulation within the body, relieves stress, raises the immunity, and prevents the stiffening of muscle, tendons and ligaments.
